Senator Reid (Unfit To Command)
[Media Source*] It isn't just the lack of vision regarding Social Security reform, or his immature threats to shut down Congress if his party doesn't get their way, but the pathetic cowardance of Reid to get involved to save Terri's life (who is not in PVS).
Ironically it seems Bobby Schindler was "given the cold shoulder" when lobbying for his sister!
"I'm not sure. We lobbied senators all week and thought we had the support of senators like Mr. Schumer, but today, a small handful, including Mr. Reid and Mr. Schumer, have decided to hold out their support for saving my sister, and innocent woman, from death by starvation."
When I called Senator Reid's office it sounded like they were taking a "poll" instead of trying to investigate the facts of whether or not Terri was indeed PVS.
It seems they did not want to make this a "political" issue. Since when does one refrain from saving someone's life because it might appear political? Reid's cowardance in this case will not be forgotten when his time to be reelected comes up, as it seems he has forgotten some of his pro-life values.
With obvious failures of leadership in the Senate for Democrats (having no vision for Social Security, throwing a tantrum with threats to shut down Congress, delaying support for Terri) it seems clear to me that Reid is unfit to command his party as their future doesn't look to bright with many GOP victories, including this one. Selah.
