[Media Source*] And it looks like he will be working with Bob Dole?
"We won't be lobbying, but we'll provide strategic policy advice" to clients dealing with government, Daschle said.
By working with Dole, "we can get different perspectives," he said. "People are going to have the benefit of both a Republican and Democratic perspective - that's one of the strengths we can offer."
Both have been hired by Alston & Bird LLP, which is a law firm based in Atlanta in order to boost their image in Washington. Daschle it seems will be working as a "special policy adviser" (whatever that is) while Dole works as a "special counsel" for the firm. The article...
...portray's Daschle as a "nice guy" who just happened to be shot down from the right so we all can probably assume the reporters political affiliation. None the less Daschle (as well as Dole) should make an interesting team as both have suffered political death in Washington, D.C. and can probably provide a lot of "don't do this" and "don't do that" advice for the company. Either way I am happy that he found a job and hopefully he can serve as a warning to other Senators who feel like stone walling the President is a good idea for their political career.
