Fighting Trackback Spam
[Media Source*] (Inspiration: Boing Boing, Hat Tip: Wizbang Tech)
After viewing some of my favorite blogs via feed reader, I noticed that several prominent bloggers have been disabling track backs, most notably Power Line and Michelle Malkin (with Captain's Quarters getting fed up with the spam as well). Below might be a possible solution using Technorati.
http://www.technorati.com/cosmos/search.html?rank=&url="your permalink code here"
Although this is not a permanent solution it may provide a temporary one until something more reasonable can be figured out. One thing I noticed about the Technorati Search is that it does give a little "summary" of what other blogs have posted (as you can see a demonstration here).
I am going to email Technorati to see if there would be a way for them to add a feature displaying the "number results" of who links to you. If anybody has any other solutions to help out our BSB (Big Stream Blogger) friends, let me know.
Also I recommend visiting Wizbang Tech for those of you with other types of blogs as he has plenty of codes to help you out.
