Terrorists Threaten India Missionaries
[Media Source*]
Insurgents in India are threatening to start killing evangelical leaders, and "totally destroy" the country's leading missionary organization unless it pays a ransom of $186,000 dollars to avoid the bloodshed.
Probably shows how desperate these cowards are as it seems they have some immediate debt to pay off. Why in the world would you ask $186,000? Usually demands are rounded to the nearest $10,000. Hopefully either God or the government (perhaps both) can intervene in this situation.
"You are strictly warned that if you do not respect our organization or if you approach the [government], you will be calling for your total destruction," the insurgents said in the letter shown to BosNewsLife. Its authenticity could not immediately be verified.
The threat was made against the Gospel for Asia demanding payment today in fact (according to their daily emails) which followed the beatings of several of their students in India. Ironically, the students who were beaten (about six in number) desire to still go back and preach the Gospel in an area that is hostile towards the teachings of Christ (as many other Christian organizations have already fled the area). It seems to me that many have been leaving the "peaceful" faith of Islam (note the sarcasm here) that the terrorists preach and have been won over to other faiths. Will give more updates as they come...
