Scott Peterson convicted...
[Media Source*] Scott Peterson was convicted for the killing of his wife Lacy Peterson and his unborn child Conner (which is ironic in a state that is pro-choice) by a jury after 12 hours of deliberation. The jury recommended the death penalty for Scott who showed no emotion as the verdict was read by a clerk as he was sitting stone face next to his Attorney Mark Geragos.

The California jury that convicted Scott Peterson of murdering his pregnant wife and unborn son, after a sensational trial that transfixed much of the country, recommended on December 13, 2004 that he be put to death. Peterson is seen during defense closing arguments in the penalty phase of his murder trial, at the courthouse in Redwood City, California, Dec. 9.
"Scott Peterson was Laci's husband, Conner's daddy -- the one person who should have protected them. And for him to have done that -- that's it," juror Rochelle Nice said at a press conference after the verdict was read.
My Opinion
Although the his lawyer plans to appeal the case Scott will probably face the justice he deserves. No one has the right to take the life of their own child (not fetus but a child) in such a way. The least he could have gotten was some marital counseling on the situation. If he is indeed guilty of this crime it would be beneficial for him to at least show some remorse over the tragedy. From the looks of his "cold heart" it seems that he did not even miss his wife much less love her. Here are some more pictures from Reuters.
