UN Offers To Help US With Katrina

The top United Nations emergency relief official has offered the United States the world bodyÂs help in "any way possible" following the loss of life and large-scale destruction wrought by Hurricane Katrina along the country's Gulf Coast.
The offer was made in a letter from Emergency Relief Coordinator Jan Egeland to US Ambassador John Bolton.
It is being reported that many UN staff unions in both New York and Geneva are fundraising in order to help the victims of New Orleans after their city was almost wiped out from the hurricane Katrina. Many bloggers are raising funds for the victims, and if anyone is desiring to help contribute to the effort online they can visit N.Z. Bear site for more details on how to get involved.
