Professor Arrested (Terri's Fight)
[Media Source*] (Hat Tip: The Black Kettle)
Dow Pursley, 56, was zapped with a Taser stun gun and tackled to the ground by officers before he reached the door, Pinellas Park police said. He became the 47th protester arrested.
Pursley, who is on the faculty of the Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Clarks Summit, Pa., had two bottles of water with him, police said. He was charged with attempted burglary and resisting arrest.
How can someone be charged with burglery for giving away water? Probably shows how rediculous this whole "lets kill Terri" movement is becoming. As Terri is on her 13th day without food OR water without clear evidence from a Radiologist whether Terri is conscious or not (because a neurologists and a bioethicists are not qualified to read CT scans and if you disagree take up Code Blue's offer for $100,000 to prove him wrong).
The interesting thing about this case is that Terri's fight is not just gaining support from the Pro Life side but from liberals like Bill Clinton and Jesse Jackson (no friends of mine) who are throwing their weight in support of Terri (hat tip again to The Black Kettle).
While New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has virtually gone into hiding - as have many other Democrats - regarding whether or not Terri Schiavo should be starved to death, ex-President Bill Clinton was reportedly "egging on" one of Hillary's colleagues to support federal intervention to rescue Schiavo.
(Jesse Jackson)
Rev. Jesse Jackson said Tuesday afternoon that he has persuaded two Florida state senators to change their votes on a bill to save Terri Schiavo, leaving the measure just one vote shy of the majority necessary for passage.
This issue is transcending party lines, or at least permeating the top leadership of the Democrats. Even Blogs for Terri is getting support from both sides of the political spectrum which is showing that fighting the culture of death is not just a "religious right" issue, it is an American issue that should concern all who want to live a long healthy life in the future (and not end up like Europe). And as long as Terri lives, we'll keep fighting. Hang on Terri! We're praying for you!
