One of my favorite digital artists on the net (along with Greg Martin of course) is Gary Tonge. Gary Tonge is an Art Director for an entertainment software company who also does some pretty interesting commissioned works for a variety of clients. Below are links to some of my favorite images.
More about Gary Tonge and links below.
Gary's Tongues Bio:
I have been involved with digital art for quite a long time now. I started creating imagery on computers when I owned a very antiquated Atari 800XL computer utilising what was then a "high tech" touch tablet-LOL. Pretty soon I was hooked and my passion for art coupled with my love for computers soon lead me to a vocation within the Computer entertainment industry.
My work more recently has diversified somewhat-I now find myself creating concepts and illustrations for all sorts of products and ideas. I feel fortunate to have become more and more proficient at creating graphics; from two-coloured, odd shaped pixels trying to represent the subject matter 15 years ago, to now, where the imagery is only bound by the limits of our own artistic imagination.
I have been yearning for another angle to project my art, something to give balance to my other works. With Celestial art I think I have found it. If I could, I would paint this stuff all day.
Well Gary, you have a fan in the blogosphere over here. Best wishes with your desire (and buy some of his pictures so he can paint this stuff all day). Selah! (more images of his below).
