EU sending their constitution into Space
[Media Source*] (Zaman.com) Although some may pretty much consider this a waste of money (okay, it is...but since I am a space fan I'll be biased and say that it isn't)the Europeans never cease to amaze me when it comes to technology.

Italian astronaut Roberto Vittori will carry the EU Constitution to the International Space Station. The EU Industry Commissioner Guenter Verheugen gave a gold-bound copy of the EU Constitution to the French astronaut Michel Tognini, a representative of the European Astronauts Corps at a ceremony in Brussels marking the opening of "Earth and Space Week".
I think they should send the "draft" of the constitution now since not all of the countries agree with it (England and France oppose) and who knows when the constitution will become official. More below.

Italian astronaut Vittori will go into orbit in the Russian Soyuz rocket taking off from Kazakhstan on April 15. Brussels believe that the EU constitution is a symbol of "how national interests can be transcended by channeling the aspirations of nearly half a billion citizens from diverse cultural backgrounds towards the common goals of peace, freedom and prosperity." stated Verheugen.
Sorta like the U.N., eh? Now here is the bad news:
It is indicated; however, that the Commission's ambition for the Constitution may result in some frustrations, although signed by 25 EU member states, it has received the approval of only a few of these members. The majority of the member countries will put the Constitution to a referendum.
In the case of a member with a "no" vote on the Constitution, it will then be disapproved. Jokes are being made in Brussels that if the Constitution is not approved through the referendums, it will drop on the Europeans' heads from space.
Maybe it will fall on France? (not their new bridge which is beautiful by the way) Selah!
