Let Freedom Ring!
[Media Source*] Freedom is ringing loudly with the color of orange as Ukraine's Supreme Court ruled that the election results were invalid. The court ruled that a run off would take place between Viktor Yushchenko (pro-western candidate) and Viktor Yanukovych (pro-Russian candidate). With a new runoff beginning around December 26th, it appears the courts have spoken in favor of freedom and of the Ukrainian people as a whole.

The ruling was made five days after hearings by the court's 18 justices which scored a major victory for Viktor Yushchenko. The ruling was a stinging blow both to outgoing President Leonid Kuchma and Russian President Vladimir Putin who had previously denouced the idea of a new run-off.

Fireworks were in the air as supporters were cheering the new victory. The victory now presents Ukraine with the opportunity to not only have a more liberating culture, but also freedom of press from government control, something that has been denied to them for quite awhile. Let freedom ring!
