Daysman, Preserver of men
My favorite title of Jesus Christ...perhaps the most prevalent in my image, mind and understanding of him. According to the dictionary, Daysman means "an umpire or arbiter; a mediator or a judge." That is the perfect description of Jesus to me. Daysman. That one word sums up to what he has been to me. He has guieded my affairs, resolved impossible situations and been my righteous judge and has consistantly defended my cause. He is my best friend in a sense since he and only him alone truely knows who I am. I have a lot of friends and many family members but most do not even know 50% of who I am. Selah.
Preserver of men is found in Job (just like the word Daysman) and that is what he has done: preserved me from evil, from my own evil as well as unto his glory. From that alone I can not thank him enough.
Today I read in Judges for my Higgaion. It was a great reveiw of God's faithfulness and man unfaithfulness. I wonder what drives God/Daysman to be so passionate about us despite our failings? I can recall many times when I have failed him...even today I can think of a few. Yet his passion for us never dies down...so the least I can do is be passionate for him. I will be passionate for him and sell my desires in order to purchase his. For what is the valuables of today compared to the next million years with him? Selah.
Well, I could type an ocean...but that would tire out my fingers...I will now post on my Xanga which is a more artistic blogger without the "html requirments." Selah.
